Nintendo addiction

I've been playing a lot more GBA games of late, as I say finished Kirby, also completed advanced wars 2 (altho still got the mini games to play) and bought the fantastic shinning force and have got about 80% through that I think.

Speaking of Nintendo related products I've been wetting my pants and dreaming every night about the new DS lite.
Can't wait to get one with animal crossing, wario, Advanced wars DS and probably some others

Life update

Well things are certainly up in the air as always, some good changes I think some uncertain times.
I should end up with more 'time on my hands' since I have decided to 'quit' WoW, or at least not play it as much/take a break.
Which has already been quite strange, I suppose stopping doing anything that you did most days for over a year is going to need some kind of adjustment.

So far I have filled my time partly learning Cantonese (I've only really managed to do one lesson). Finding out about 'A Vampyre story' has made me want to create an Infinite Monkeyz style adventure game, which will take a while :-/

Also, I wanted to make a Mee-themed platform style game, which Mee and I talked about ages ago while working for certain Internet Service Provider.

Oh, and I have adopted some old school laptops from my bro, which I was playing around with trying to instal win98 on the last few days, with not much joy, but learning stuff and is interesting.

Other than that, of course there is these comics! So although they have still been fairly last minute I should be spending more time on this!

Also, lets not forget the band, which is in another time of change, hopefully I'll be able to make some kind of post sometime soon, I just need to think things over myself.

But I have been writing some songs that I can see being fairly popular, which is the first time in a while.

Oh and FINALLY bought myself an SM58! :D
(about time) so I can improve my self recordings.

Things with Mee are good, I know she probably doesn't want me talking too much here, but things are slowly progressing anyway, so that's good :)
Can you believe we are coming up to our 4 year anniversary this March!

Christmas rant

Things have been pretty busy at the moment.
Work is full on, trying to fill the website with content (without being given much) so at least by the end of the year there will be a semi finished website.

So I have been trying to concentrate on getting as much of that done as possible.

Once we hit the 20th Dec I'm a free man! So I can concentrate on getting some more comics done, and other stuff :)

Hope you're all looking forward to Christmas, I kind of am.
Sometimes It feels like everything in life becomes less fun as you get older (maybe as you get more cynical as well).
But I'm trying to get past all that and enjoy having a break, and spend time doing things I want to do, rather than feeling I 'have' to do anything, which is probably the cause of a lot of my stress of late.

You see, especially while I've been full speed on my work, I'll get to the evening and find another list of things I want to do, be it comics, games, or other projects like music related and language stuff.

I seem to have this huge list of things to do and never get much done.
(probably should blame WoW and other computer games for that)

Anyway, I'm ranting, perhaps I should blog this rather than put it with the comic...So I will! (and I have - this was going to be part of today's comic)

Anyway, busy, got to go...

p.s. how is it Google is a better spell checker than firebird spell checker 0_O

Updates?!

About time for an update!
Sorry things have been quite quiet around here.

Work has been busy, things need to be finished if at all possible before the end of the year, so I've been working hard trying to get stuff done.

Been feeling in a 'comic mood' of late, and I like some of my recent ideas, so hopefully some good comics on the way.

I've been working on re-sketching every cast member within this comic.
Giving them a bit of an update in some cases, and more importantly trying to create a full body (head to toe) 'inked' vector graphic, which should save me time in the future.

At the moment I only have a full body vector of myself, so I spend a lot of time when making comics creating again and again body parts (missing hands) and filling in lines I don't really need to.

So, once this is done it should be a good thing, should help get the time taken to create a comic down from 4 hrs, so I can spend some more time on colouring, ideas, and storylines! (and maybe making things funny ;-)

Not to give the game away, but I've had a few plot outlines hanging around for a while, which I may be able to make happen, so I suppose I should either do a new poll or perhaps you can add comments or a forum post to vote for what you like.

Some ideas are:
Captain Carrot and Monkey pirates at sea
Captain Carrot and Monkey living together in 'real life' suitations
LeeShaff's life as a giant monster
Bob and Susan
Marc b*stard boss

and of course now i can't think of any more.

Something I have thought of doing is trying to carry on existing situations so for example, Mike can be seen with his guitar he loves often, Daniel perhaps is now followed around by a Clone.

I guess I keep thinking about doing stories and suitations of things that haven't happened, as MOST of my comics have happened.

All just ideas, feel free to drop me a comment or mail or whatever.

Well,

After having a week off work, friends who I haven't seen for a few years, and a mini lan with Daniel and Rhys I feel like I'm coming down.
Back to work, which is strangely not feeling that bad, but just feel bad generally.

Myself and Mee had a long tiring day of shopping yesterday, which didn't really help either of us with our moods.
But, got a really nice new coat from Mee, and would you believe it have started Christmas shopping!

I guess feeling down for many reasons. I always get like this after any kind of holiday, or break away, or time with friends, so I guess it's like all these things ended at once...

Also, I have of course been eating more wheat than normal over these few days, which won't help my mood. (I'm allergic to wheat)

Been feeling a bit useless, not liking my routine much, but not sure how to change it, what is _worth_ doing??

Sorry to have a bit of a self depressing rant here, but I don't have anywhere else for it at the moment, so guess you can get comics here that hopefully make you laugh, and blogs that bring you right back down 0_O

Which reminds me, I have a series of poem type things that I had hosted on my blog site blizz4rd, which no longer exists, so maybe I should move them here somewhere.

I kinda have wanted to get some thoughts and anger out on paper in the last few weeks, but sometimes it feels so infantile, such a 'teenager' thing to do, but I guess which is better, doing that or keeping it inside?

Been feeling a bit useless in a few areas of my life.
Some scary stuff has happened to my friend and drummer in my band, he is in hospital hopefully doing a little better now!
I think it came close to life and death for him.

I pray for him, but I feel so useless, if my dad died when I prayed against it, why should any other prayer be answered.

How can I pray for some pastor in the east somewhere who is due to be beaten to death if I can't fix my dad, and my friend.

Sorry, I guess this just needs to get out, I know this isn't the 'best place for it, but so what.

Playing some songs yesterday kinda helped me feel better, I suppose that is like writing a poem.

'Worn Down' is great for getting out some anger and frustration.

I had planned to blog about what happened at the lan and what games were good to play, perhaps I will get around to that. I also meant to blog a little about Radiohead, and a little about friends, and even news of WOW expansion,  perhaps I will get around to that too, for now I'll just post this.

Things will get better
